#1 just disappeared. Tis the time of year to join the battle against the Bushes and shrubs. This year I'm also getting after the blackberries. I got a Ford 8n tractor and am looking for a 4' brushog. I've been doing battle with the Bushes and Shrubs ever since I planted my treefarm with 20,000 douglas fir trees. One on one, a tree will out grow a Bush or Shrub most all the time. Problem is, they gang up on the trees and choke them out. I've been keeping them back with a chain saw. The big commercial timber companies spray chemicals from helicopters to kill the competing Bushes, shrubs and grasses. So, let me know if you hear of anyone out this way with a used brushog for sale. I'm anxious to put it to work against a lot of pesky Bushes and Shrubs that have been going after some fruit and nut trees. About mushrooms. Well, they also prefer trees. I bought 100 shitake plugs and will put them in some alder stumps. Been a few natural oysters on some rotted alder logs lately. Thinking of getting some oyster plugs. Been nice gardening weather. Gets me thinking about food
